About Us

Mark Perkins prides himself in providing the best possible care and support for his patients. He is Health Professions Council Registered (Registration number CH13198) and qualified with a first class honours degree in podiatry from Birmingham School of Podiatry in 1996.

 He entered podiatry after a successful career in the British Army.  He is a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists which provides guidelines for safe practice and gives professional indemnity insurance cover.  He is qualified to administer local anaesthetics and has a commitment to keeping himself up to date by completing the annual continued professional development as recommended by the Society.

 He is  a rowing coach and specialises in biomechanical problems and sports injuries and the correction of the foot and lower limb with custom made orthoses.

Mark retired from clinical work in December 2016. Her continues the management of the practice and acts as a consultant on biomechanical problems.

Surgery clinics and home visits are now carried out by Rosanna Thomson, who has joined the practice as an associate.  Rosie also trained at the Birmingham School of Podiatry and graduated in 2014. Before taking up her career in Podiatry Rosie had been working supporting adults with acquired brain injury and dementia.  In her spare time she is a wedding photographer.
